See it as a challenge

www.

"Like everything in nature, balance is not a fixed situation we end up in and never leave. Remember: the only constant thing in life is.... change!

All nature goes through cycles of changes, and also balance will come and go. Balance is like day and night, rain and sun, the changing of the seasons, like the winter hair of a horse that comes and goes.
In straightness training we strive for a balanced rider, a balanced horse and a balanced relationship, but we have to accept it, when something is out of balance. That's life, that's mother nature.
Don't feel uncomfortable about it or think that it's 'wrong' or 'bad' or 'not fair'. And don't try to blame something/somebody and don't try to find an excuse. Struggles and confrontation will create positive change and growth, because we learn from it. The things that are difficult for us teach us.
Just act like nature: balance and rebalancing is nature's way of dealing with issues.
If something is out of balance, see it as a challenge!

Keep calm and carry on, be flexible and keep yourself focused on constant and never-ending improvement.
In the feelling of progress you will find fulfillment, not in finding the ultimate balanced state.
If you and your horse are moving forward in life, if both of you are progressing physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, you and your horse will feel good and will be happy together."
